From Kulusuk you can continue further to Taasilaq (the main town in East Greenland) and from here to the local settlements. To visit Ittoqqortoormiit, this travel is far more complex. Here you can only go through Akureyri, Iceland, to Nerlerit Inaat (Constabel Point) with Nordlandair operating this route with a limited capacity of 8 passengers for each flight. Most of these seats reserved for the local community in Ittoqqortoormiit. From here you will go with helicopter to Ittoqqortoormiit.

Arctic Dream

Furthermore, Lars has a dream of creating as many local jobs as possible in the community. He does so — on the one hand — through his training program for young locals in which they learn to safely navigate his luggage boats, and — on the other hand — by making sure locals are continuously educated.
Tasiilaq Tours
They operate from Tasiilaq year around and the main seasons are winter from mid-February till mid-May, and summer from July till October.
The company is owned by Rasmus Poulsen, who has been living in Greenland since 2013. He moved to Tasiilaq in November 2016 and founded the company. The company has a snowmobile and a dog sled pack with 15 dogs. They are working on getting a boat. Until then they organize boat trips with other companies.
Arctic Wonderland Tours
The company are turning 50 in 2023, they opened the doors first time in December 1973. As the oldest family business in Greenland.
They offer a variety of different tours from both Tasiilaq and Kulusuk. Tours varies according to seasons but counts kayaking, boat tours, trekking, city walks, dog sledding, ice cave visits and snow mobile tours. They are most known for their heliskiing tours in the spectacular mountains of East Greenland.
Siggi Tours
The company is run by Sigurður Pétursson (otherwise known as “Siggi”), an experienced Icelandic sailor who has been living in Kuummiut since 1998. Siggi Tours organizes a whole range of tours including dog sledding trips in the winter.

PIRHUK – Greenland Mountain Guides
Pirhuk is made up of a close-knit group of friends & family who encompass many years of experience in Greenland, the highest levels of certification in mountain guiding and a passion for the way of life they have found on the mountainous coastline that surrounds their home and lodge in Kulusuk.
The beginnings of Pirhuk took root over 20 years ago when IFMGA guide Matt Spenceley, then in his teens, began spending a lot of time climbing and skiing in Greenland. Taken under the wing of Georg and the Utuaq family, their deep roots and intimacy with the land, water and ice have informed everything they do.
