Air Greenland

Air Greenland is Greenland national flag carrier and has operated in Greenland since 1960. Air Greenland’s route network consists of around 70 different connections, between 14 airports and 42 heliports and helistops.

Today approximately 80-90% of all passengers to Greenland arrive in Kangerlussuaq, Arctic Circle. This is when Air Greenland’s complex operation of distributing all passengers to the rest of Greenland begins. There is no doubt that Air Greenland operates one of the most complex route networks in the world.

Air Greenland has daily flights to Copenhagen, Denmark as well as weekly flights to Billund, Denmark and Keflavik in Iceland.

The route to Keflavik is operated from Nuuk and Ilulissat. The routes to Copenhagen go from Kangerlussuaq and Narsarsuaq. Finally, the company’s newest route runs from Kangerlussuaq to Billund.

With the opening of the new airports in Nuuk and Ilulissat, Air Greenland will change its operations to direct flights between Nuuk/Ilulissat and Copenhagen/Billund. Time will tell if this also results in new routes that will make easier for your customers to get to Greenland.

All group travel with Air Greenland requires you as a travel agency operate Amadeus. If this is not the case, we will be happy to assist you with group bookings with Air Greenland.
